Autologous fat injection is the most commonly used method in the treatment of aging or structural volume reductions on our face. It is used to fill the sunken areas and add volume in the face area, especially in the cheeks, cheekbones, under-eye cavities, cheek-lip junction, forehead, chin and lip areas.

However, thanks to the regenerative cells in the fat tissue, reducing the dark circles under the eyes is the most frequently used and safest method in the skin renewal process. Today, adipose tissue is a frequently used method not only for our face, but also for operations such as breast contour correction and butt shaping.

In fat injection, the adipose tissue taken from the abdomen, waist or thigh region with the help of a vacuum injector is prepared according to the needs of the region to be applied by passing through various stages. It is then injected into the needed area with the help of small cannulas. Since it is our own tissue, no allergic condition is observed.

Since the injection on the face is done with small cannulas, there is no scar. The most important issue that determines the result is the vitality of the given adipose tissue. Scientifically given oils have a viability of 40%-60%, and smoking, irregular diet, structural problems and surgical method errors reduce the viability of these fats.

What is done before the operation?

The most important point before surgery is to evaluate the patient in detail and to understand their expectations. With the examination, the problems are revealed and the action to be taken is decided in order to get the best solution in line with these problems. In line with the intervention to be performed, the procedure is performed under local anesthesia or sedation. Necessary blood tests are performed in patients who will undergo sedation.

What Awaits You During the Surgery Process?

Fat injection can be applied alone or in combination with another procedure (rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, liposuction, eye contour aesthetics) or as a component of the procedure. It does not require hospitalization after the procedure. Edema and minimal bruising are seen in the treated area for the first 2-3 days.

Special bands are adhered to the treated area and these bands can be removed on the 2nd day and massaged with a moisturizer. Although the decrease in edema after the procedure varies between 7-10, most of the patients are 3-5 years old. He can return to his normal life within days. It is very important not to smoke and to have a balanced diet in order to preserve the vitality of the given oils.
